Welding Technologies used in Space Propulsion Manufacturing.

Precision welding, and its associated technologies, is a traditional core competence at the Ottobrunn Production Centre.

Our welding achievements are typified by the spiral wound tube-welded nozzles produced for the HM-7 rocket engine of Arianes 1 to 4. These nozzles have been produced flawlessly by our welding experts for over 25 years.

This heritage and experience will also be applied to the HM-7 thrust chamber for the future cryogenic upper stage of Ariane 5.
